We paired our favorite chocolate fondue recipe with Grön Chocolates

Grön Dark Chocolate Bar
Grön Dark Chocolate Bar

It's Valentine's Day and one way to show love to yourself, someone special, or your friends, is making an easy chocolate fondue recipe in under 30 mins.

When you think of creative ways to indulge, that are also safe, simple recipes always come to mind. With simple recipes, you can share the experience, but also manage the cost keeping it affordable.

For this recipe you will need four ingredients...

Chocolate Chips

Milk

Vanilla

Grön Chocolate

You'll also need to grab your favorite dippable choices like strawberries, raspberries, cherries, apples, orange slices, pineapple, banana, brownie bites, pretzel rods, even Belgian waffles.

You can visit one of several legal licensed dispensaries in NYC to get your Grön chocolate bar(s). This weekend Bliss & Lex on the Upper East Side is having a special 10% off your purchase of Grön chocolate bars.

Once you've gathered up all of your ingredients and dippables, you're ready to get in your kitch and get busy.

Originally our recipe used two full bar of dark chocolate which consists of 100 mg of THC each. Grön does have a variety of bars, so you can make your fondue sativa, indica, hybrid dominant or even CBN.

If you prefer a moderately low dose fondue, use one chocolate bar. Making your fondue about 3-5 mg per dip.

Fondue Me, Boo Recipe

1 Cup (9 oz) Chocolate Chips

(use your favorite brand, we used semi-sweet)

1-2 Bars of Grön Full Chocolate Bars (we used their Dark Chocolate, but they have a few options)

2/3 Cups Milk

(use your favorite, we used Califia Farms Organic Oatmilk)

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

*extra chocolate chips to control the thickness of your melted chocolate

Directions:

  1. To start your fondue, you'll need a small sauce pot and a spoon/spatula.

  2. Add your milk first, then your chocolate chips.

  3. Be sure to keep your flame on a low heat, to prevent scorching your chocolate or burning off the cannabinoids.

  4. Continously stir milk, as it starts to heat up, you will see the chocolate melt. Do not take your eye off the pot. (pun intended)

  5. As your chocolate melts it will incorporate with the milk and you can start to see the thickness form (about 10 - 15 mins).

  6. Once all of your chocolate has melted you can add your Grön Dark Chocolate, if you haven't already. It should take less than 5 mins for the chocolate bar to melt.

  7. Turn off your heat and add the vanilla extract and stir until well incorporated.

  8. Use your spatula to determine if the chocolate is the right consistency. It should not be thin, it should be smooth and silky. When you look at your spatula it should have a nice coating on it.

You don't need a fondue pot/ set for this recipe. A bowl can work. But if you're going for the full on aesthetic, you can grab one from your local bath + home store, Amazon, or Target. They are affordable starting at $15- 20.

Your chocolate will stay warm for about an hour without a tealight.

Be sure to wash and cut any of your dippables and arrange them on a plate or platter with skewers of toothpicks.

If you have leftover fondue, you can store it in an air tight container and reheat it over the stove or your fondue pot.

Always made with Love!
